Introducing...my favorite pear crisp.
inspired by the lovely Pioneer Woman
7 or 8 medium bartlett pears, nice and ripe
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 stick butter, melted or 1/2 cup Smart Balance
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core and chop up your pears into pretty small pieces. Place in your baking dish and sprinkle sugar and salt over them. Combine gently.
Combine topping ingredients, cutting in the butter until it looks crumbly. Cover the fruit with the topping. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
