Yes, a few weeks ago I tried to make
soft pretzels from scratch. They weren't necessarily *hard*, just a lot of wait time {in which I get distracted and then making pretzels takes all day}.
Let the dough rest for five minutes here, five minutes there, sit in the fridge for two hours or overnight...yeah. Well, eventually I got them in the boiling water and then into the oven. They were really tasty hot and fresh, but got pretty solid as they cooled. It's a lot of work {in my opinion} for just a few pretzels. But a very fun idea!
